Alex Brown

Alex is an Instructor Therapist from Canada who has recently joined the school as a teaching assistant having moved to the UK to live nearby. With a background in Applied Behaviour Analysis, working with children from 18 months old up to 15 and focusing on speech and language, Alex is keen to build pupils’ life skills and help develop zones of regulation.

“My focus is on teaching pupils to appreciate how they can understand their own emotional regulation and here at Paradigm I work with the rest of the teaching team to help pupils help themselves.

We are continuously encouraging pupils how to deal with sensory overload issues and also how to understand other people’s feelings and emotions. It’s a strong team of like minded people and we all support each other in our work - to support the pupils.”
